Key Stage Pastoral and Reflection Room Manager

BOA Digital Technologies Academy is seeking to appoint a Key Stage Pastoral and Reflection Room Manager to work alongside staff and leaders in delivering excellence across the school. The role will be primarily based at BOA Digital Technologies Academy, with occasional travel to other BOA Group locations across central Birmingham as required.

As Key Stage Pastoral and Reflection Room Manager, the postholder will play a pivotal role at the heart of the school community, combining responsibility for pastoral support within a Key Stage with the leadership and management of the Reflection Room. They will be instrumental in ensuring that all students are supported to engage positively with school, develop strong habits for learning, and successfully reintegrate into lessons following behavioural incidents.

The postholder will champion high standards of behaviour, attendance and conduct, taking a proactive and supportive approach to helping students make better choices and reach their full potential. Through the effective management of the Reflection Room, they will ensure it operates as a calm, structured and purposeful environment where students can reflect, reset and return to learning quickly. Alongside this, they will build strong relationships with students, families and external agencies, providing guidance, intervention and support where needed.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a meaningful difference—creating a safe, consistent and supportive environment where students feel understood, expectations are clear, and all learners are able to thrive both personally and academically.

The BOA Group believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners—to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first-rate educational environment with excellent facilities, outstanding teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them. You will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills.

If you share the Academy Trust’s vision and ambitions, have a strong desire to work within an ethos of creative collaboration and partnership, and want to have a positive impact on young people, families and the wider community, we would be delighted to hear from you.
