BOA Group is an innovative multi-academy trust in central Birmingham, offering exceptional education in the arts, digital, and technical skills through three specialist academies with outstanding facilities at the heart of the region’s creative industries. Located in the centre of Birmingham and within the hub of the creative and digital industries in the West Midlands, we benefit from superb facilities for academic, vocational and extra-curricular activities.

2026 is an exciting year for BOA Group as its new and innovative 5-year strategy is launched which will see BOA Group strengthen its position as not just the leading creative and digital academy trust, but also a leading training provider in the sector. The new strategy recommits to the Group’s ethos of ‘Imagine Everything’ and is underpinned by the new BOA Advantage.

BOA Group is seeking an ambitious and visionary Chief Education Officer to lead on quality assurance, school improvement, and to act as a deputy CEO across the academy trust.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape the educational direction and impact of the Trust, providing bold, strategic system leadership that will define the next phase of its development. As Chief Education Officer, you will work at the heart of the organisation, collaborating closely with the CEO, Executive Team, Trust Board and school leaders to drive an ambitious vision for educational excellence across all schools and settings.

Reporting directly to the CEO and acting as Deputy, you will be the Trust’s senior educational leader, accountable for the quality of education, standards, outcomes and inclusion across the Trust. You will provide clarity of direction and inspirational leadership, overseeing curriculum strategy, standards, safeguarding and school improvement, while building and sustaining high-performing leadership teams and a culture of ambition, innovation and continuous improvement.

Through your leadership, every school will be supported to deliver consistently high-quality, future-ready education, ensuring that all pupils — regardless of background or starting point — are equipped with the knowledge, skills and mindset to thrive in an ever-changing world. You will champion collaboration, evidence-informed practice and professional learning, enabling schools to learn from one another and to innovate with confidence.

Salary: £120,000 per annum (spot salary or appropriate scale point)
