
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, confident and enthusiastic teacher to plan, prepare and deliver outstanding lessons in music or performance. We currently teach, visual to all children in KS3, but would like to expand this now to include music or performance. The ability to some element of music at KS3 is preferred.
You will encourage a climate of mutual support in which self-confidence and self-esteem can grow and an effective department team is established and nurtured.
The role is suitable to either an ECT or experienced teacher. A full induction package and CPD opportunities are offered to help develop your teaching practice. UPS is available for those with suitable experience. This is a post for 2 or 3 days a week.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A strong track record as a Teacher of Music or performance, with a passion that is evident in their day-to-day classroom practice.
- Qualified teacher status and a degree.
- The ability to inspire high achievement in students from all backgrounds.
- The ability to work in collaboration with other members of staff to develop and manage projects.
- Exceptional personal organisation and time management skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- The ability to guide students’ academic, personal and professional development, as a tutor, in accordance with the academy’s guidelines and procedures.
- An understanding of the key national and educational policies and issues.
- Presence, enthusiasm, good sense of humour and approachability.
- An excellent record of punctuality.
