BOA Group Productions announce cast and creative team for Cinderella at The Old Rep this Christmas

BOA Group Productions are delighted to announce the professional cast and creative team behind this year’s magical Christmas pantomime, Cinderella. The production will run from Saturday 22nd November – Wednesday 31st December at The Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham, marking the tenth festive production by BOA Group at the historic venue.
Audiences can expect a glittering, family-friendly spectacular filled with music, comedy, and plenty of festive sparkle as we bring the timeless rags-to-riches tale to life.
The professional cast features Stefan Davis as Prince, Therese Collins as Fairy Godmother, Jaiden Tsang as Cinderella, Jordan Laidley as Dandini, Sam Yetunde as Chloe, Victoria Tew as Kim, and Julie Ann Baker as Baroness Hardup.

They will be joined by an ensemble of talented students from BOA’s specialist academies — BOA Creative, Digital and Performing Arts Academy and BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy — who will perform alongside industry professionals and gain first-hand experience working in a professional theatre environment.
Behind the scenes, BOA Stage and Screen Production students play a vital role in bringing the production to life. From constructing sets and props, designing and operating lighting, sound, and AV, to supporting costume design, stage management, and backstage operations, their hard work underpins every moment of the performance.
Working alongside the professional creative team, students gain invaluable, hands-on experience across all areas of technical theatre, developing the specialist skills needed for careers in film, TV, theatre, and live events. Their dedication ensures that the magic of Cinderella reaches the stage in every sparkling detail.
Returning to direct this year’s festive production is Lorna Laidlaw, following her success with last year’s The Wizard of Oz. The creative team also includes CiCi Howells as Choreographer and Musical Director, Ebrahim Nazier as Set and AV Designer, Stephen Abbiss as Lighting Designer, Leanne Fitchett as Costume Designer, and Clive Meldrum as Sound Designer.

The production features an original script by Alex Jackson with additional material by Janice Connolly.
Lorna Laidlaw is a director, writer and actress whose extensive career spans stage and screen. She directed our production of The Wizard of Oz at The Old Rep Theatre last year — a hugely successful show that broke audience records for the BOA Group. Lorna is also the winner of an Inside Soap Award for Best Daytime Star and an RTS Award for Best Actress.
Lorna said: “I am delighted to be returning to The Old Rep Theatre to Direct the timeless classic, Cinderella. It truly is one of the most loved stories of all time — and our production promises all the magic, music and mayhem that makes pantomime so special.”
“Expect laughter, sparkle and a few Brummie surprises along the way! We are all looking forward to seeing you. You're really in for a festive treat.”
Kate Tague, Chief Executive of the BOA Group, added: “We’re thrilled to bring Cinderella to The Old Rep this Christmas. Our annual pantomime brings together outstanding creative professionals with the next generation of Birmingham’s theatre talent. It’s the perfect festive treat for families, schools, and community audiences alike.
“What makes our productions so special is the involvement of our talented BOA students — both on stage and behind the scenes — performing alongside professional actors, designing and building sets, creating costumes, operating lighting and sound, and helping to run the show. They gain invaluable, hands-on industry experience while working as part of a professional production team to create something truly magical.
“We’re also delighted to welcome director Lorna Laidlaw back for a second time following her hugely successful production of The Wizard of Oz last year. Her energy, creativity, and expertise bring a fantastic dynamic to the show, and it’s incredibly exciting to see her work alongside our students and professional cast once again.”
